President's Message
Dear PL-lites, Teachers, Friends, and Alumni of PLMGS,
This year’s theme, “One Perfect 10 in Christ,” reminds me of how God shows us who we are when we are together. We may come from different cohorts, different generations, and walk very different paths now - but in Christ, we are part of one body, called to something greater than ourselves.
1 Corinthians 12:12 says:
“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.”
That verse captures PLMGS perfectly. We are many parts, but one body. Different gifts, different seasons, but one family in Christ. We are a “Perfect 10” - not because each of us is flawless, but because when we are united in Him, we are complete.
One Heart of Service: Grateful for Our Alumni
I am deeply grateful to the many incredible women who have poured their time, talents, and servant hearts into our alumni association through the years. Every event planned, every student mentored, every prayer offered - it all matters. You show us what it means to be part of one body, working together for His glory.
The Value of Being One Body
My own years at PL taught me this truth early. The friends I made in PL and the teachers who poured into me, remain dear to me today. We were not the same, but we were one. Through joys and challenges, that bond held because Christ was at the center. Those friendships have stood the test of time, and they remind me that we are stronger, fuller, and more “perfect” together in Him.
Message for Our Young PL-lites
To our young PL-lites, make the most of your time in PL. Immerse yourself in school life by serving others, joining committees, entering competitions, and stepping up for projects that bless the community. It’s in those moments you will discover your gifts and the people God has placed beside you. Learn to rely on Christ, and learn to lean on each other. That is how you grow - in skills, in character, and in faith.
Living as One PL Family
You are part of a big, God-given family. Value the different parts. Celebrate each other’s strengths, and carry each other’s burdens. When one part rejoices, we all rejoice. When one part struggles, the rest of us step in. That’s what 1 Corinthians 12:12 calls us to do.
Forward in Faith
Let us keep living out “One Perfect 10 in Christ.” May we use our different gifts - time, talent, encouragement, prayer - to build up this body called PLMGS. May the love and unity that define us here spill out beyond these walls into our workplaces, homes, and communities.
Thank you for being part of our PL family
To God be the glory. May He bless our PL family, today and always.
Joy Chia
